Reporting to the Yard Manager, you'll be at the heart of our operations, ensuring materials are processed safely and efficiently while delivering outstanding customer service.

This is a wide-ranging role that combines customer interaction, equipment operation, and practical yard work, making it perfect for someone who enjoys staying active and getting stuck in.

What you'll be doing

Grading, sorting, and purchasing a range of scrap metals

Loading and unloading trucks, skip bins, and trailers

Assisting customers with enquiries and providing a positive service experience

Operating forklifts and other site machinery and equipment

Weighing, bagging, palletising, and preparing materials for transport and stocktake

Maintaining a clean, organised, and safe work environment

Following workplace health, safety, and environmental procedures at all times

Supporting the wider team to keep the site running smoothly

Previous experience in recycling, warehousing, labouring, manufacturing, construction, customer service, or a similar hands-on environment

Basic numeracy and computer skillsReliability, initiative, and the ability to work effectively in a busy environment

Bonus Points If You Have

Forklift Licence (highly regarded)

Previous experience operating machinery or working in recycling, waste, logistics, manufacturing, or resource recovery
