About the role

n

We are seeking a Production Supervisor on afternoon shift who are passionate about production excellence and thrive in a fast-paced environment.

n

Reporting directly to the Operations Manager, you will be responsible for responsible supervising the day-to-day operations of the production floor through clear direction, leadership and support and ensuring superior quality outcomes, a safe setting and high staff engagement.

Successful Applicants Must Have:

n

A minimum of 3-5 years of supervisory experience in the food manufacturing industry, demonstrating comprehensive expertise in all aspects of food production processes.

Safety and Quality

n

Escalate any safety concerns promptly to the Operations Manager and safety team to ensure immediate action is taken.

n

Ensure adherence to housekeeping standards and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) to maintain a clean, organized, and compliant work environment.

n

Lead by example in following all company procedures, implementing best safety practices, and setting high standards for safety within the team.

Strictly comply with HACCP requirements and guidelines to maintain food safety and quality throughout production.

Monitor and ensure that product quality remains consistent and aligns with company specifications at all times.

Training and support

n

Ensure adherence to company standards and holding team members to account for their performance

n

Offer continuous coaching to all employees, reinforcing correct processes and procedures to ensure consistent and efficient operations

n

Operational performance

n

Identify and implement continuous improvement opportunities to enhance productivity, reduce waste, and support consistent operational excellence.

n

Continuously monitor shared areas and production line to ensure housekeeping standards and Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) are consistently followed.

n

Track and evaluate line performance, ensuring that line speeds, productivity, and staff allocation align with company standards.

n

Ensure the Production Dashboard is updated accurately on an hourly basis, reflecting real-time data and key details.

n

Verify that all required operational and technical paperwork is completed within designated timelines.

n

Act with urgency to accelerate hazards, downtime, and waste issues to your manager for immediate action.
