Job Description

The purpose of this role is to provide excellent customer service by assisting customers in selecting the appropriate workwear based on their needs and preferences. The Retail Store Assistant will ensure the store is well-organised, maintaining inventory and product displays to optimise the shopping experience. Additionally, the role involves staying knowledgeable about the latest workwear products and trends and offering expert advice to ensure customer satisfaction and loyalty.
n 5 day working week with rotating Saturdays fortnightly.

Key responsibilities

- Greet and assist customers in a friendly, professional manner, helping them select the right products for their industry and role
n
- Develop sound product knowledge across our full range, including work boots, hi-vis apparel, PPE, corporate wear and safety equipment
n
- Operate the point-of-sale (POS) system confidently and accurately for all transaction types, including cash, EFTPOS, credit card and account-based purchases
n
- Handle customer enquiries, exchanges and returns efficiently and professionally
n
- Apply discounts, promotional pricing and loyalty rewards correctly and in line with store policy
n
- Process decoration project orders, communicating with customers regarding their order progress, any design changes required and expected completion dates
n




- Assist with merchandising and stock replenishment, maintaining a well-presented store
n
- Maintain a store environment that is clean and organised at all times
n
- Receive, check and process incoming stock deliveries
n
- Participate in stock takes and cycle counts as required
n

- Standing for extended periods throughout a standard shift while serving customers and completing store tasks

- Manual handling including lifting, carrying and unpacking stock deliveries, which may include cartons of footwear, bulk apparel, PPE equipment and safety gear
