The Opportunity

VIXA is working with a leading firm that is actively investing in its Sydney disputes capability and is seeking an experienced disputes SA or SC.

The Role

The incoming litigator will play a pivotal role and manage complex commercial disputes across one or more of the following areas, depending on specialisation:

- General Commercial litigation; and/or
- Class actions — defence-side work for institutional and corporate clients; and/or
- Regulatory and compliance — ASIC, ACCC and other regulatory enforcement matters; and/or
- Insolvency and restructuring — creditor-side and insolvency practitioner engagements.

The role carries leadership responsibilities, including supervision and development of junior lawyers, active participation in firm-wide BD initiatives and full engagement in the firm.

About You

We are seeking an experienced litigation SA or SC who is ready for a strategic move and can demonstrate the following:

- 6–15 years' post-admission experience with a substantive commercial litigation focus
- Technical capability across complex commercial disputes — preferably with expertise in one or more of the sub-areas noted above
- Excellent academics (distinction average)
- Experience from a top-tier, leading mid-tier or well-regarded specialist disputes firm
- The commercial instinct and interpersonal credibility to operate effectively within a collegiate partnership
