Assistant Accountant | Financial Services | Sydney | Longer term contract

Our client is a leading funds management firm based in Sydney CBD. The business is entering an exciting growth phase with a solid focus on process improvement, making this a great time to join a high-performing finance function. In this hands-on role, you'll support the day-to-day accounting and reporting, working closely with both the finance and asset management teams.

What you'll be doing:

- Processing invoices into the general ledger to meet month-end deadlines
n
- Liaising with the other teams on invoice and payment approvals
n
- Monitoring bank accounts, completing monthly bank reconciliations and supporting quarterly cash flow reporting
n
- Issuing revenue invoices to counterparties and reviewing payment claims
n




- Providing broader administrative support across the accounting and asset management teams
n

What we're looking for:

n

n
- Exposure to general ledger systems (SAP experience highly regarded) and AP/AR processes
n
- Strong Excel skills and confidence across the Microsoft Office suite
n
- A proactive, detail-oriented approach with the ability to manage competing priorities
n
- A team player mentality
n
- Familiarity with AI tools in a workplace setting is a plus
n
