Are you an experienced Registered Nurse and clinical leader looking for a role where you can genuinely influence the quality of care delivered to older Australians?

We're looking for an experienced Care Director to provide clinical leadership within a residential aged care environment based near Wollongong, NSW. This is a key leadership position, working closely with the Residential Aged Care Manager to oversee clinical care, governance, quality, compliance and continuous improvement.

About the Role

n

You'll provide senior clinical leadership across the home, supporting nursing and care teams to deliver safe, high-quality, person-centred care.

n

Your responsibilities will include:

n

n
- Providing clinical leadership, supervision and mentoring to nursing and care teams
n
- Overseeing clinical governance, quality and continuous improvement initiatives
n
- Supporting accreditation and compliance with relevant legislation and regulatory standards
n
- Monitoring clinical audits, indicators and care outcomes
n
- Overseeing resident care planning, assessments and clinical documentation
n
- Supporting funding optimisation and accurate clinical submissions
n
- Providing guidance around medication management, infection prevention and clinical best practice
n
- Supporting the management of incidents,



hospital transfers, emergencies and outbreaks
n
- Working closely with residents, families, medical practitioners and allied health professionals
n
- Supporting recruitment, rostering, performance management and staff development
n
- Ensuring new team members receive appropriate induction, training and ongoing support
n
- Acting as the senior clinical leader within the home when required
n

About You

n

You'll be a confident and experienced clinical leader who enjoys developing teams and improving standards of care.

n

To be successful, you'll have:

n

n
- Current AHPRA Registered Nurse registration
n
- At least 3 years' nursing management experience at ward level or above
n
- Previous experience within residential aged care
n
- Strong understanding of contemporary aged care clinical standards, funding and accreditation
n
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
n
- Strong clinical judgement, analytical and critical-thinking skills
n
- Experience with care planning and case management
n
