Accurate Dosing Systems (ADS) designs and manufactures advanced robotic dosing systems for global customers in the flavour, fragrance, and chemical industries. Our machines are designed, built, tested, and commissioned in-house in Adelaide and shipped worldwide. As we grow, we are strengthening our production capability to ensure consistency, efficiency, and quality at every stage.

About the Role

This is a newly created production-focused role. We are seeking a Manufacturing/Production Engineer to bring structure, discipline, and flow to our entire production operation from parts arriving at the door through assembly, quality control, testing, and dispatch.

This role is for someone who is production-minded, shop-floor focused, and driven to make manufacturing smooth, organised, efficient, and measurable. You will work closely with assembly staff, warehouse, procurement, and mechanical engineering to ensure production runs reliably and efficiently.

Key Responsibilities

Production Flow & Assembly:

- Design and manage smooth production flow from receiving parts to final dispatch
- Define clear assembly sequences for machines, sub-assemblies, and modules
- Ensure assembly staff have explicit, simple instructions to build correctly every time
- Reduce build time, rework, confusion, and delays
- Support daily production on the shop floor

Work Instructions & Standardisation:

- Create practical assembly instructions, checklists, and build guides
- Ensure every major assembly has a clear “how to build it” process
- Standardise tools, fasteners, build methods, and assembly approaches




- Make it easy for new staff to learn and perform consistently

Quality Control & Risk Reduction:

- Build quality into the process, not just inspect it at the end
- Define QC checks at part, sub-assembly, and final machine level
- Reduce risk of bad quality, missing parts, or incorrect assembly
- Ensure problems are identified early and clearly
- Support FAT (Factory Acceptance Test) before dispatch

Warehouse & Parts Organisation:

- Create structured warehouse layouts and part locations
- Ensure parts are clearly labelled, stored, and easy to find
- Improve goods-in, storage, kitting, and supply to assembly
- Ensure assembly teams never waste time searching for parts

Production Measurement & Efficiency:

- Help define how assembly efficiency is measured
- Support tracking of build time, rework, and delays
- Identify bottlenecks, waste, and inefficiencies
- Continuously improve production performance and consistency

Design for Manufacturing & Assembly (DFMA):

- Work closely with mechanical engineers to ensure designs are: Easy to manufacture, Cost-effective, Straightforward and robust to assemble
- Review CAD designs from a production point of view
- Provide feedback on part count, tolerances, fasteners, access, and assembly sequence




- Ensure what is designed can be built efficiently on the shop floor

About You

You’re an experienced Manufacturing Engineer, or have a similar engineering discipline, with a minimum of 3 years’ experience working in a Manufacturing Engineer or similar role. You’re a practical, production-minded engineer who enjoys being close to the factory floor and understanding how things are really built.

You work confidently with assembly teams, take ownership of outcomes, and are driven to improve processes, quality, and efficiency.

You’re organised, calm under pressure, and comfortable coordinating people, parts, and processes in a hands-on manufacturing environment.

You will have:

- An engineering qualification in Industrial, Manufacturing, Mechanical, or a related discipline

- Experience in production, assembly, or manufacturing engineering

- A strong understanding of floor-level manufacturing and assembly processes

- The ability to organise workflows, documentation, and teams

- Strong communication skills and a hands-on approach

Desirable:

- Experience in manufacturing

- Exposure to Lean & Six Sigma

- Experience creating SOPs, assembly instructions, QC processes & warehouse management

- Familiarity with CAD preferred
