Janus Electric is revolutionising heavy transport by converting diesel trucks to electric and building a national swappable battery network. We are scaling fast and need a skilled, detail-oriented Trade Assistant to help bring our next generation of zero-emission trucks to life at our Central Coast facility.

We are seeking a Technical Assistant is responsible for helping and supporting qualified tradespeople and assisting with installing, maintaining, and repairingelectrical systems and components, ensuring efficient and safe operations.

What You Will Do:

- Provide general labouring assistance to qualified tradespeople, contractors, and operators by operating hand and power tools.
n
- Prepare and clean work areas, tools, and equipment, ensuring the worksite is kept clean, safe, tidy, and ready for use.
n
- Handle materials and tools, ensuring they are available and in good condition.
n
- Perform basic tasks such as drilling, cutting, and assembling components under supervision.
n
- Assist with documentation of work completed and parts used.

- Undertake and complete assigned tasks with minimal supervision, following safety procedures and guidelines at all times.
n
- Communicate effectively with team members to ensure smooth workflow

What You Bring:

n

n
- Year 12 Certificate.
n
- Previous experience in a trade assistant role or similar position, with familiarity with electrical and mechanical components an advantage.
n
- Proficiency in using tools and instruments.
n
- Self-motivated, reliable, and hard-working, with the initiative and problem-solving skills to work through tasks independently.
n
- Valuable people skills and the ability to communicate clearly and take direction within a team.
n
- Attention to detail and a commitment to high-quality work, including repetitive tasks when required.
n
- Ability to plan and prioritise responsibilities, and perform setup and clean-up tasks as needed.
