Position Overview

n

Marathon is seeking an experienced Site Foreman to lead on-site construction activities and ensure projects are delivered safely, efficiently, and to the highest standard of quality.

n

This role is responsible for coordinating site trades, supervising daily works, and ensuring the smooth integration of modular buildings with site-based construction activities. The Site Foreman plays a critical role in maintaining program timelines, safety compliance, and workmanship standards.

n

The position suits a solid leader with solid carpentry or construction supervision experience who enjoys managing teams, coordinating trades, and delivering high-quality projects.

Key Responsibilities

Construction Supervision

n

- Supervise and coordinate daily site activities across trades and subcontractors.
n
- Ensure works are completed in accordance with project drawings, specifications, and quality standards.
n




- Manage installation and integration of modular buildings with site works.
n
- Coordinate site sequencing to ensure efficient project progress.
n
- Monitor daily productivity and assist in meeting program milestones.
n

Site Coordination

n

- Liaise with the Project Manager, subcontractors, suppliers, and internal teams.
n
- Coordinate deliveries, equipment, and labour requirements.
n
- Manage site logistics including access, storage, and site setup.
n
- Support the resolution of on-site issues to maintain project progress.
n

Quality Control

n

- Inspect work to ensure compliance with project specifications and quality expectations.
n
- Identify and address defects or workmanship issues early.
n
- Maintain high standards of finish and ensure projects meet client expectations.
n

Safety & Compliance

n

- Lead and maintain a strong safety culture on site.
n
- Ensure compliance with WHS regulations, safe work methods, and site procedures.
n
- Conduct toolbox talks and safety briefings.
n
- Monitor site hazards and ensure corrective actions are taken promptly.

Team Leadership

- Provide direction and support to site teams and subcontractors.

- Maintain clear communication with all stakeholders.

- Foster a professional, respectful, and productive site culture.

Skills and Experience

Essential

n

- Proven experience in a Site Foreman or leading hand role within commercial construction.
n
- Trade background in carpentry or building.
n
- Strong ability to coordinate trades and manage site teams.
n
- Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications.
n
- Strong organisational and problem-solving skills.
n
- Commitment to safety, quality, and project delivery.

- Experience working on education, childcare, health, or commercial projects.

- Experience with modular or prefabricated construction.

- Strong communication and leadership skills.

- Familiarity with construction management systems such as Procore.

- Current White Card and relevant construction certifications.
