Loco Mechanical is seeking an experienced and highly skilled Qualified Mechanic to join our growing team. This is a role suited to someone who takes pride in their workmanship, can lead from the front, and thrives in a fast-paced workshop environment.

About the Role

You will be responsible for overseeing workshop operations while actively working on a wide range of vehicles. You will play a key role in maintaining high standards, mentoring team members, and ensuring efficient workflow.

Key Responsibilities

n

n
- Diagnose and repair mechanical faults across a variety of vehicles
n
- Experience working on mixed fleet vehicles including passenger cars, light commercial vehicles, and heavy vehicles is essential
n
- Carry out engine swaps and transmission replacements
n
- Perform logbook servicing to manufacturer standards
n
- Complete brake, suspension,



and general mechanical repairs
n
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organised workshop
n
- Ensure jobs are completed efficiently and to a high standard
n

About You

n

n
- Trade-qualified mechanic (essential)
n
- Certificate IV Automotive qualification is required
n
- Minimum 4-5 years post-apprenticeship experience
n
- Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills
n
- Proven experience with engine and transmission work
n
- Ability to work independently and lead a team
n
- High attention to detail and pride in quality workmanship
n
- Reliable, punctual, and skilled
n
- Previous work on performance cars is required but not essential
n
- Australian citizenship is required for this position
