The Trustee for Daley & Younan Trust – Heidelberg VIC

Elka bakery has quickly developed a strong presence in the Melbourne bakery scene. We specialise in sourdough breads and traditional pastries, with an emphasis on producing consistent and high quality products.

As the head pastry chef, you will work directly with the head baker and owner in leading the direction of the business. You will lead the pastry team in the planning, preparation and baking of all pastries.

Tasks & responsibilities

Leading the planning,



production and preparation for the weeks and months schedule

Upholding cleanliness of the premises

Excellent knowledge of the industry and the ability to innovate and create new products

Preparation and rotation of ingredients for daily production

Other general duties as required such as cleaningThe work involves early morning starts and availability to work a seven days rotating roster.

For the pastry chef position, this is a casual position, between 2-4 days a week.
