We're looking for a friendly, organised, and hands-on Canteen Assistant to join our team at Grantham. If you enjoy cooking, creating menu options, and supporting staff in a rapid-paced environment, this could be the perfect role for you.
Your Role Reporting to the HR Manager, you'll play a key part in keeping our plant team nourished and happy. From preparing and serving meals to managing supplies and maintaining a clean kitchen, you'll ensure the canteen runs smoothly every day.
What You'll Be Doing
Prepare and serve meals for staff, catering to a variety of tastes
Manage regular ordering and stock takes of canteen supplies
Maintain a clean, safe, and efficient kitchen environment
Cook a variety of meals and create new daily menu options for staff
Use cafeteria-style point-of-sale software to process transactions
What We're Looking For
Experience in food service or hospitality
Confident using point-of-sale systems
Strong communication skills and a friendly, approachable manner
Organised, reliable, and able to work in a fast-paced environment
Passionate about preparing quality meals and supporting a team
