We are currently seeking a Spare Parts Interpreter to join a well-established and growing Australian business in Rocklea.

This is a hands-on and varied role working closely with the Spare Parts, Workshop and Technical teams to ensure parts are accurately received, stored, picked and supplied when required.

n

The business is open to both experienced Spare Parts Interpreters and candidates from a strong warehouse, stores or inventory background who have a genuine interest in mechanical parts and are keen to develop their knowledge.

Training will be provided on the company's products and systems.

About the Role

What You'll Be Doing

n

n
- Pick and pack spare parts orders for internal and external customers
n
- Receive incoming stock and check quantities and items against documentation
n
- Inventory incoming stock and correctly put parts away
n
- Maintain accurate stock levels across the Rocklea facility
n




- Complete regular stock checks and stocktakes
n
- Identify low-stock items and assist with replenishment
n
- Maintain an organised, clean and efficient parts warehouse and yard
n
- Ensure stock is correctly labelled, stored and recorded
n
- Assist technicians and workshop staff with locating and supplying required parts
n
- Assist with parts enquiries and develop knowledge of specialist products and components
n
- Complete parts deliveries and collections when required
n
- Occasionally deliver parts to customers, technicians, suppliers or other company locations
n
- Assist with general administrative and operational duties within the Spare Parts team
n
- Operate a counterbalance forklift to load, unload and move parts and stock
n
- Follow all company safety, quality and operational procedures
n

Experience across heavy vehicle, truck and trailer, transport equipment, refrigeration, HVAC, mechanical or industrial parts would be highly regarded.

You do not need to have experience with the company's specific product range.

Skills & Experience

n

To be successful, you'll ideally have:

n

n
- Previous experience in spare parts, warehousing, inventory, stores or a similar setting
n
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy when handling stock
n
- Good organisational and time-management skills
n
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
n
- A genuine interest in mechanical, automotive, heavy vehicle or industrial parts
n
- Ability to learn new products, systems and processes quickly
n
- Experience using an ERP, WMS, inventory or parts management system
n
- Ability to work independently while contributing to a wider team
n
- Current Australian driver's licence
n
- Current LF forklift licence - minimum 1 year's counterbalance forklift experience
n
