Essential Criteria

n

n
- Recognised tertiary qualification in Speech Pathology
n
- Current membership with Speech Pathology Australia (SPA) or eligibility for membership
n
- Strong communication, interpersonal and clinical reasoning skills
n
- Current First Aid and CPR certification, or willingness to obtain
n
- NSW Driver's Licence
n
- Professional indemnity and public liability insurance
n
- National Police Check
n
- Working With Children Check
n
- NDIS Worker Screening Check, or willingness to obtain
n
- Eligible to work in Australia
n

Current graduates are welcome to apply.

n

NDIS experience is beneficial but not essential — training, mentoring and support will be provided.

n

Your Responsibilities

n

n
- Conduct comprehensive speech, language and communication assessments using appropriate evidence-based assessment tools
n
- Develop and implement individualised intervention plans based on each client's needs, goals and functional priorities
n
- Provide evidence-based speech pathology intervention
n
- Support clients to develop practical communication strategies that improve participation and independence
n
- Provide education, strategies and recommendations to clients, families, carers and other relevant stakeholders
n
- Monitor client progress and modify intervention plans as required
n
- Complete accurate clinical documentation and reports across relevant funding bodies
n
- Collaborate with Exercise Physiologists, Occupational Therapists and other allied health professionals
n
- Liaise with GPs, specialists, support coordinators, educators, families and other relevant professionals
n
- Provide clinic-based and minimal community-based services
n
- Participate in team meetings, SEM events and professional development activities
