Our Mackay branch is looking for an energetic and people-focused Warehouse Manager to lead our busy warehouse operation.

n

About the Role

n

Reporting to the Branch Manager, you'll take ownership of the day-to-day performance of our Mackay warehouse—from receiving and supporting inventory management through to picking, packing and dispatch.

n

This is a hands-on leadership role where you'll set clear expectations, keep the team connected and create an environment where people can perform at their best. You'll balance service, safety and efficiency while working closely with teams across the branch and wider business.

Your responsibilities will include:

n

- Leading, supporting and developing the warehouse team
n
- Coordinating daily inbound and outbound operations to meet customer and service requirements
n
- Setting daily priorities and keeping workflows organised, productive and responsive
n
- Building team capability through coaching, feedback and on-the-job support
n




- Promoting accountability while maintaining a positive and respectful workplace culture
n
- Working closely with our Inventory Controller to support stock accuracy, cycle counts and stocktakes
n
- Monitoring warehouse performance and using systems, reporting and operational insights to identify improvements
n
- Ensuring forklifts, materials-handling equipment and relevant licences and certifications remain compliant
n
- Championing safe work practices and maintaining high operational standards
n
- Collaborating across Sales, Customer Service, Procurement and other teams to resolve challenges and deliver the best outcomes for our customers
n
- Looking for practical opportunities to improve processes, productivity and service

About You

n

You're a confident and approachable leader who knows that strong warehouse performance starts with engaged people, clear communication and consistent standards.

n

You're comfortable making decisions and holding people accountable, but you also take the time to listen, coach and bring your team along with you. You enjoy being visible on the warehouse floor and are willing to jump in to help the team when needed.

You'll bring:

n

- Experience leading a team within a warehouse, distribution or similarly fast-paced operational environment
n
- Strong knowledge of warehouse workflows, including receiving, inventory, picking and dispatch
n




- A practical understanding of workplace health and safety requirements
n
- The ability to plan workloads, manage competing priorities and respond calmly when things change
n
- Experience working with warehouse management systems, reporting tools and operational KPIs
n
- Robust communication and relationship-building skills
n
- A genuine interest in developing people and building a positive team environment
n
- A continuous-improvement mindset and the confidence to turn ideas into action
n
- A current forklift licence would be advantageous
n
- Knowledge of Mackay and regional logistics would also be beneficial
n
