Position Purpose The Marketing Coordinator provides hands-on marketing support across the whole of Volleyball NSW.

Reporting to the Volleyball NSW Operations Manager, the role supports all business areas by completing approved campaigns, communications, content and promotional activity within established plans, templates, processes and timeframes.

This is an operational delivery role working under routine supervision. It requires strong organisation, accuracy, responsiveness and regular attendance at evening and weekend events.

Remuneration: Clerical and Administrative Grade 2 under the Sporting Organisations Award 2020.

Key Accountabilities

1. Business-wide Marketing Support

Provide practical marketing support across all Volleyball NSW portfolios.

Key responsibilities include:

- Receive and action approved marketing requests through established processes.
- Clarify routine information, deadlines and required outputs with relevant teams.
- Complete allocated work using approved campaign plans, templates and brand guidelines.
- Update the shared marketing and content calendar as directed.
- Maintain clear records of requests, deadlines, approvals and completed work.
- Escalate competing priorities, unclear requests or changes to the Operations Manager.

2. Campaign, Communication & Content Delivery Deliver approved marketing and communication activity across VNSW.

Key responsibilities include:

- Support campaigns promoting programs, participation, pathways, competitions, venues and events.
- Draft and update website, email, social media, presentation and promotional content.
- Schedule or publish approved content using established systems and procedures.
- Work with the Digital Content Coordinator to deliver content across digital channels.
- Use approved templates to prepare simple graphics, signage and marketing materials.
- Coordinate routine photography, video and content requests.
- Check names, dates, links, prices and other factual information before publication.
- Obtain required content confirmation and approval before publishing.

3. Website, Digital Channels & Brand Support Maintain accurate,



consistent and current marketing information.

Key responsibilities include:

- Complete routine website updates and remove outdated information as directed.
- Maintain campaign files, image libraries, templates and approved brand assets.
- Apply VNSW and NSW Phoenix brand, tone of voice, accessibility and inclusion standards.
- Monitor digital channels for routine errors, broken links or outdated content and arrange corrections.
- Support email distribution, forms, surveys and calls-to-action.
- Assist with routine campaign tracking and data collection.

4. Event, Program & Community Marketing Deliver on-the-ground marketing support where volleyball happens.

Key responsibilities include:

- Attend VNSW events, programs, venues and affiliate activities as rostered, including evenings and weekends.
- Capture approved photos, video, results, interviews and participant stories.
- Complete scheduled live updates, promotions and fan-engagement activity.
- Set up, check and pack down marketing signage, promotional materials and partner branding.
- Support pre-event and post-event communications using approved schedules and content.
- Represent Volleyball NSW professionally when engaging with members and stakeholders.
- Support marketing delivery only; event operations, logistics and competition delivery remain with the relevant operational team.

5. Stakeholder & Partner Promotion Support Support the routine promotion of affiliates, sponsors, partners and funding bodies.

Key responsibilities include:

- Publish approved partner acknowledgements, logos and promotional content.
- Check routine partner visibility at events and report gaps.
- Collect evidence of delivered marketing benefits, including screenshots, images and links.
- Assist with partner updates and activation reports using approved templates.
- Support affiliate storytelling and statewide campaign activity as directed.
- Refer partner enquiries, current opportunities and commercial decisions to the Operations Manager.

6. Administration, Reporting & Team Contribution Maintain reliable records and support consistent team delivery.

Key responsibilities include:

- Maintain campaign trackers, content calendars, contact lists and digital files.
- Compile routine website, email and social media data for reporting.
- Provide regular updates on allocated work, deadlines and outstanding actions.
- Follow established procedures and raise errors or issues promptly.
- Participate in team planning and support organisation-wide priorities.




- Comply with VNSW policies, integrity, child-safety and work health and safety requirements.
- Undertake other reasonable duties consistent with the role's skills and classification.

Working Hours, Flexibility & Travel Regular evening and weekend work is an inherent requirement of this position. The employee must be available to work a flexible roster across Monday to Sunday, attend events and activities at different locations and travel within NSW, including occasional overnight travel.

Hours will be rostered or authorised in advance where reasonably practicable and managed in accordance with the Sporting Organisations Award 2020, the National Employment Standards and VNSW policies, including applicable overtime, time-off-in-lieu, meal allowance and public holiday arrangements.

- Digital capability - Confidently uses common website, email, social media and office systems.

Qualifications & Experience

Essential

- Relevant qualification in marketing, communications, media or a related discipline, and/or relevant practical experience.
- Experience supporting marketing, communications, digital content or event promotion.
- Sound writing, editing, proofreading and computer skills.
- Ability to follow procedures, templates, instructions and approval requirements.
- Ability and willingness to undertake regular evening and weekend work and travel within NSW.
- Current driver's licence.
- Current Working With Children Check, or ability to obtain one before commencement.

Desirable

- Experience within sport, membership, events, not-for-profit or community organisations.
- Experience using content-management, email-marketing, design or scheduling tools.
- Basic photography, video or graphic-design capability.
