Position Environment
Polytechnic Institute Australia is a Higher Education provider with campuses in Sydney, Parramatta, Geelong and West Melbourne, delivering undergraduate and postgraduate Business Education and IT courses to international students.
Key Objectives The Marketing Specialist is responsible for managing enquiries and applications from prospective students and contributing to the development of marketing plans.
The role works closely with both the Administration and Management divisions and assists with the preparation of advertisements, banners, brochures, website content and other promotional materials.
Scope of the Position The Marketing Specialist reports to the Chief Operating Officer. The position requires:

Principal Responsibilities The Marketing Specialist is responsible for:
- Recruitment and management of education agents
- Reviewing education agent performance
- Assessing education partnership agreements
- Conducting education agent orientation sessions
- Ensuring the active education agent list remains current and up to date
- Assisting in the development and implementation of marketing plans
- Conducting periodic market analysis to determine the origin of student cohorts
- Assisting with administration, marketing and business development
- Developing academic relationships with colleges, universities, education agents and corporate partners
- Attending to students and clients visiting the office
- Attending exhibitions and functions domestically and overseas where required
- Assisting international students with information relating to health, accommodation, safety and other services
- Applying the Institute's administrative rules during formal postgraduate admission processes
- Assisting with business management practices including cash receipts, invoicing, petty cash, statutory payments and records
- Organising and assisting with document design
- Managing correspondence
- Maintaining records of office expenditure and activities, including receipts
- Liaising with accountants and ensuring bookkeeping processes are followed
- Answering calls and organising meetings
- Undertaking general office duties as required

Essential Qualification A qualification relevant to the role at degree or diploma level, together with demonstrated work experience.
Desirable Qualification A qualification in one of the disciplines offered by the Institute.

- Significant experience in a similar or equivalent role
- Relevant professional experience with demonstrated capacity to recruit and admit quality students
- Experience working with international students

- Solid time-management skills
- Ability to prioritise and delegate tasks
- Demonstrated ability to liaise effectively with external organisations, agencies and the general public
- Understanding of education theory and practices
- Computer literacy, including Microsoft products and internet-based systems
- Understanding of Higher Education regulatory requirements, including the ESOS Act and Threshold Standards

Appointment The CEO, in consultation with the Chief Operating Officer or nominee, will appoint the successful candidate following interview. An annual performance review will be conducted as part of the Institute's staff performance evaluation process.
Pay: $190,000.00 per year
