We are seeking a passionate and engaging Mathematics Teacher who can teach across Years 7 to 12, including Year 11 and Year 12 Mathematics Applications, to join our high-performing Mathematics Department from the beginning of Term 1, 2027.

A new city campus.

Mathematics is taught from our new campus at 441 Murray Street in the Perth CBD. There are smartboards in every classroom and writeable desks making the teaching of Mathematics more purposeful and engaging. Our location also provides a distinctive context for the teaching and learning of Mathematics. At St George’s, we actively view the city as our campus.

About the role

The successful applicant will teach Mathematics across Years 7 to 12 and would ideally have the capability to teach Mathematics Applications in Years 11 and 12. We are looking for a teacher who can combine strong subject knowledge with the ability to make Mathematics accessible, challenging and enjoyable for students within a range of abilities and aspirations.

Experience teaching Mathematics Application would be highly regarded but is not essential.

As a member of the St George’s teaching staff, the successful applicant will also serve as a Pastoral Care Group Tutor within our House-based pastoral care system, participate in the School’s co-curricular programme and attend a year-group camp.

Essential requirements

Applicants must have:

- Appropriate qualifications to teach Mathematics in Western Australia.
- Current registration, or eligibility for registration, with the Teacher Registration Board of Western Australia.
- A current Working with Children Check, or the capacity to obtain one before commencing.
- The ability to teach Mathematics across Years 7 to 12.
- The ability to teach Mathematics Applications in Years 11 and 12.
- Strong organisational, administrative and communication skills.
- Confidence in using digital technology and smartboards to enhance student learning.
- A demonstrated ability to establish positive relationships with students, colleagues and parents.
- A commitment to the pastoral and co-curricular life of the School.
- Full working rights in Australia for an ongoing, full-time position.
