Medical Coder — Australia

Mediqcode is building technology that helps hospitals improve clinical coding accuracy and strengthen financial sustainability.

We are looking for an experienced Medical Coder / Clinical Coder in Australia to join our team and help us develop and validate AI-powered solutions for hospital coding.

What you’ll do

- Review and interpret hospital clinical documentation and medical records
- Assign accurate diagnosis and procedure codes in accordance with Australian coding standards
- Work with ICD-10-AM, ACHI and AR-DRG
- Identify documentation gaps, inconsistencies and coding opportunities
- Review and validate AI-generated coding outputs
- Provide expert feedback to improve our AI models and coding workflows
- Collaborate with our healthcare, product and engineering teams
- Help build high-quality coding datasets and clinical coding guidelines

What we’re looking for
- Experience as a Clinical Coder / Medical Coder within the Australian healthcare system
- Strong knowledge of ICD-10-AM, ACHI and AR-DRG




- Experience coding inpatient hospital records
- Excellent understanding of Australian clinical documentation and coding practices
- Solid attention to detail and analytical skills
- Ability to work independently and communicate effectively in English
- Interest in healthcare technology, AI and the future of hospital coding
