- Full time, permanent residential role based in Port Hedland, at the heart of WA's Pilbara
- Base salary $314,310, with a total package worth up to $562,073 including free furnished housing, a vehicle and allowances

About the team Trade the waiting room for the tarmac. The RFDS WA Medical team delivers critical care,



aeromedical retrieval and telehealth support across one of the largest and most remote health jurisdictions in the world. Based in Port Hedland, you'll work alongside RFDS doctors, nurses, pilots, coordination centre teams, regional hospitals, remote clinics and community health partners, in a role that puts you at the centre of every decision.

Off duty, you're on the doorstep of some of the Pilbara's best country, including Karijini, Marble Bar and the Chichester Ranges.

About the role

- Provide routine and emergency medical advice, telehealth support and clinical coordination for patients, clinicians and remote communities
- Undertake aeromedical retrieval flights as part of a medical retrieval team, supporting critically ill and injured patients across WA
- Participate in continuing medical education, clinical governance and quality improvement activities

About you

- Registered, or eligible for registration, with AHPRA as a Medical Practitioner
- Broad postgraduate clinical experience, ideally across emergency medicine, anaesthetics, ICU, acute paediatrics or rural generalist practice
- Confident independently managing critically ill and injured patients, including procedural skills relevant to critical care medicine
- Strong communication, teamwork and clinical judgement in complex and remote environments




- Aeromedical retrieval experience is highly regarded but not essential, with comprehensive orientation provided
