NeuroCentrix is seeking an experienced Medical Receptionist to join our growing health and neuroscience practice. This is a great opportunity to become part of a friendly, supportive team delivering high-quality patient care in a professional clinical environment located at QV Tower, East Launceston Tasmania 7250.

We have additional part time positions available for candidates who are proactive, friendly, adaptable, and committed to excellent service.

About the role

You will be a key point of contact for patients, clinicians, and external stakeholders, helping to ensure the smooth day-to-day operation of the clinic. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working in a busy medical environment and takes pride in delivering outstanding patient support.

Clinic hours are Monday to Friday, 8.00am to 6.00pm.

The current role requires 3 days per week.

Key responsibilities

- Welcoming patients and providing a professional, caring first impression.
- Answering incoming calls and assisting with general enquiries.
- Registering new patients and maintaining accurate records.
- Creating, cancelling, and rescheduling appointments.
- Processing medical correspondence, records, and third-party report requests.
- Managing diary schedules for psychiatric and treatment clinic appointments.
- Supporting the broader admin team with daily clinic operations.

About you

- Experience as a Medical Receptionist or in a similar role within a medical practice.




- Experience using medical software, such as Clinic2Cloud, is desirable.
- Understanding of billing processes including Medicare, private health insurers, DVA, Workcover, TAC, claims and accounts. neuroCentrix has an accounts team that handles billing.
- Experience in mental health is desirable.
- Strong customer service skills with a positive can-do attitude.
- Highly organised and able to work well under pressure.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving ability.
