About Roles:

Metal Fabricators/Welders - Tasks & Responsibilities

· Perform metal fabrication and welding tasks according to specifications and blueprints.

· Check wheel components for wear, corrosion, cracking, or other damage which may have occurred during prolonged service.

· Removing Centre nave plates, using CNC lathe, and fitting new nave plate in preparation for welding.

· Preparing wheels for welding.

· Carry out full in-house NDT testing of wheels using magnetic particle testing as per safety regulations.

· Fitting OTR valving to wheels, including small, large, and super large valve assemblies, depending on wheel size and requirements.

· Operate welding equipment and tools to join, fabricate, and repair metal components.

· Read and interpret technical drawings and plans.

· Ensure quality control and accuracy in all fabrication and welding processes.

· Collaborate with team members to meet project deadlines.

· Maintain a clean and safe work environment.





About You:

· AQF Certificate III or equivalent or relevant experience

· Minimum 3 years experience

· Demonstrated ability to work autonomously and also as part of a team

· Excellent communication and time management skills

· Ability to follow all company OH&S; policies and procedures

· Able to shift gears in a high paced environment and respond quickly to the requirements of the position.

Remuneration/Salary

$80,000 to $85,000 per annum - Remuneration will reflect current market conditions and industry award rates. To be discussed with the successful applicant.
