Your Role
n
As an Industrial Painter/Abrasive Blaster, your core responsibilities will include:
n
n
- Performing high-quality abrasive blasting and industrial painting.
n
- Utilising specialised equipment including airless spray machines, hydro blasting tools, and pressure pots.
n
- Ensuring all work meets strict safety and quality standards while navigating shipyard environments.
n
n
What You Bring
n
To be successful, you are safety-conscious, reliable,
and driven to grow your technical skills:
n
n
- Essential Experience: Solid background in industrial painting and abrasive blasting.
n
- Required Qualifications:n n
- Certificate III in Engineering Fabrication Trade (Surface Finishing) or equivalent.
n
- Current White Card.
n
- Valid licenses: Working at Heights, Confined Space (Enter & Work), and EWP.
n
n
- Desirable: Experience in the shipbuilding, mining, heavy engineering, or energy sectors. HRW licenses (Forklift, Dogman, etc.) are a significant advantage.
n
n
Important Requirements
n
This role requires access to a Defence facility. To be considered:
n
n
- You must be an Australian Citizen.
n
- You must be able to pass an Australian Federal Police Check and obtain a Defence Security Clearance (Learn more at the AGSVA website).
