Payroll & Compensation Senior Specialist (Part-Time / 2 days per week) Are you an experienced payroll professional looking for greater flexibility, reduced hours, or an opportunity to return to the workforce while still making a meaningful impact?

We are looking for a highly organised and detail-oriented Payroll & Compensation Senior Specialist to join our Human Resources team on a part-time basis. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys solving complex payroll challenges, working with data, and partnering with stakeholders across HR, Finance and Operations.

We're looking for someone who combines strong payroll expertise with exceptional analytical capability. If you are comfortable navigating payroll systems, managing payroll tax obligations, and can turn complex data into meaningful insights through advanced spreadsheets and reporting tools, we'd love to hear from you.

What You'll Be Doing

Supporting payroll activities in partnership with our offshore Payroll Team

Managing payroll-related compliance and governance activities including payroll tax obligations and state revenue reporting

Overseeing superannuation and statutory payroll-related payments

Acting as a super-user for payroll and HR systems

Leading and supporting annual remuneration processes, including merit reviews and bonus programs

Developing reporting tools, dashboards and spreadsheets to support business decision-making

Identifying opportunities for process improvement, automation and system enhancements

What We're Looking For

Proven experience in payroll administration, payroll governance or compensation and benefits





Strong understanding of Australian payroll legislation, payroll tax, superannuation and statutory requirements

Experience working with payroll and HRIS platforms

Excellent attention to detail and ability to work accurately against tight deadlines

Strong stakeholder management and communication skills

Exposure to compensation, remuneration or reward programs

Advanced spreadsheet skills, including complex formulas, data analysis, reporting and automation

Experience supporting annual salary review or bonus processes
