The National Timber & Hardware Association is seeking a reliable Forklift Driver to join a busy timber operation in Hemmant on a casual labour hire basis.

n

Our host employer is an established timber business supplying quality timber products and solutions to the Australian construction and building industries. The business works with a range of structural timber products and has a strong focus on quality, reliable supply and sustainable timber solutions.

n

This is an opportunity for an operator who can confidently operate a forklift in a busy yard or warehouse environment, takes pride in working safely and efficiently, and is keen to develop their skills within the timber industry.

n

You'll be involved in forklift operations along with timber handling duties, including restrapping and repacking timber products.

What you'll be doing

n

n




- Safely operate a forklift to move timber and materials
n
- Load, unload and organise timber products
n
- Assist with restrapping and repacking timber
n
- Handle timber products safely and efficiently
n
- Maintain an organised and safe work area
n
- Follow workplace health and safety procedures
n
- Work as part of a busy and supportive team
n
- Assist with general yard and warehouse duties as required
n

About you

n

We're looking for a reliable forklift operator who can work safely and efficiently in a busy environment.

n

You'll have:

n

n
- At least 1 year of forklift operating experience
n
- Current LF Forklift Licence
n
- Timber industry experience – desirable
n
- Experience handling materials or products
n
- Good understanding of workplace health and safety
n
- Reliable and punctual work ethic
n
- Ability to work efficiently in a busy environment
n
- Valuable attention to detail
n
- Physically fit and comfortable with manual handling
n
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
n
- Full working rights in Australia
n
