Domestic cleaner - Disability and Aged Care

You will provide domestic assistance to Support at Home aged care participants and NDIS participants. This is more than simply cleaning a house. You will be working in people's homes, often supporting older people or people with disability. You must be patient, respectful, trustworthy and comfortable communicating with participants.

Key responsibilities

n

Cleaning kitchens, bathrooms, bedrooms and living areas

n

Vacuuming, mopping, dusting and general household cleaning

n

Laundry, changing bed linen and light household tasks

n

Supporting participants with shopping or community errands when required

n

Following individual cleaning schedules, care plans and safety instructions

n

Reporting any concerns about a participant's safety or wellbeing

n

About you

n

At least 12 months' qualified domestic or commercial cleaning experience

n

A current National Police Check suitable for aged care work, or willingness to obtain one before commencing

n

Current First Aid and CPR certificates

n

A current driver's licence and reliable vehicle

n





The physical capacity to safely undertake regular cleaning duties

n

Good communication skills and the ability to complete basic service notes

n

A high standard of cleaning and attention to detail

n

A reliable work history and commitment to attending rostered services

n

Daytime availability between 8:30 am and 3:00 pm on weekdays

n

Willingness to work shorter services, generally two to three hours

n
