Spyder Motors Pty Ltd is seeking an experienced Motor Mechanic to support our automotive parts, vehicle servicing and repair operations across NSW and WA.

This is a full time opportunity to join a supportive, multidisciplinary team and perform high-quality diagnostic, servicing and repair work on a range of light vehicles.

About You The successful applicant will demonstrate:

- Certificate III in Light Vehicle Mechanical Technology or an equivalent relevant qualification
- A minimum of three years of relevant motor mechanic experience
- Strong knowledge of engines, transmissions, steering, suspension, braking, cooling, fuel and exhaust systems
- Experience diagnosing both mechanical and electrical vehicle faults
- Ability to operate diagnostic scanners, testing equipment, workshop tools and vehicle hoists
- Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, mechanical diagrams and manufacturer specifications
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to safe, accurate workmanship
- Good physical fitness, stamina and manual-handling capability
- Effective communication and teamwork skills
- Excellent diagnostic and practical problem-solving abilities
- Valid driver’s licence and reliable transport preferred
- Flexibility to work across locations in NSW and WA when required

Key Responsibilities

- Inspect, test and diagnose mechanical and electrical faults using appropriate diagnostic equipment
- Identify faults in engines, transmissions, steering, suspension, braking and other vehicle systems
- Dismantle and remove engines,



transmissions and other mechanical components as required
- Repair or replace worn, damaged or defective parts in accordance with manufacturer specifications
- Reassemble engines, transmissions and other mechanical systems following repairs
- Perform scheduled servicing and routine maintenance, including oil changes, filter replacement, lubrication and tune-ups
- Inspect, repair and maintain braking, steering, suspension, cooling, fuel and exhaust systems
- Test and adjust repaired components to ensure correct operation, safety and reliability
- Conduct road tests and post-repair inspections to confirm that faults have been rectified
- Safely operate hand tools, power tools, vehicle hoists, diagnostic scanners and workshop equipment
- Maintain accurate records of inspections, diagnoses, servicing, repairs and parts used
- Estimate the parts, materials, labour and time required to complete servicing and repairs
- Communicate with supervisors, customers, parts suppliers and team members regarding vehicle conditions and recommended repairs
- Assist with supervising apprentices, junior mechanics and other workshop employees where required
- Comply with workplace health and safety requirements, environmental procedures and quality standards
- Maintain a clean, organised and safe workshop environment
- Troubleshoot workshop and repair issues to help ensure work is completed within required timeframes
