CMM Programming & Measuring | Defence Manufacturing

About the role

Protonautics is seeking an experienced CMM programmer to lead measurement systems capability. This is a hands-on technical role where you will be the authority on metrology, inspection, GD&T;, calibration and measurement system performance across our manufacturing operations. Key responsibilities

Program and support CMM operations using PC-DMIS

Lead and develop our CMM and metrology capability

Create and maintain inspection procedures, work instructions and training materials

Manage calibration, maintenance and verification of measurement systems

Collaborate with machinists and provide feedback regarding results and GD&T;

Conduct quality inspections and support AS9100 compliance activities

Assist with customer and certification audits

Identify opportunities for process,



equipment and technology improvements

About you

Qualification or tertiary training in metrology

Strong industrial manufacturing experience

Advanced knowledge of GD&T; and dimensional inspection

Proven CMM programming and operation experience

Proficient with PC-DMIS

Excellent communication and documentation skills

Organised, self-motivated and detail focused
