Machinery Spray Painter

Join an established heavy-equipment business and apply your automotive refinishing expertise across a varied fleet of new, used and hire construction machinery.

n

Working within a team, you'll be responsible for diagnosing paint issues, completing high-quality repairs and refinishing work, and ensuring the spray booth and paint shop remain safe, compliant and well maintained.

n

Pay rate: $45-50 per hour + Overtime

n

Location: Archerfield, QLD

What you'll be responsible for

n

n
- Prepare, repair and spray-paint new, used and hire construction equipment
n
- Diagnose paint defects and recommend cost-effective repair solutions
n
- Mix and apply paint using appropriate refinishing systems and techniques
n
- Operate and maintain the spray booth in accordance with industry and safety standards
n
- Maintain the paint shop, equipment and work areas to a high standard
n
- Complete accurate reports and maintain records of work performed
n
- Provide photographs and supporting documentation for warranty repairs
n
- Monitor paint, consumable and workshop stock levels
n

About you

n

You'll be a skilled and safety-focused spray painter with robust attention to detail and pride in producing a quality finish.

n

You will bring:

n

n
- Certificate III in Automotive Refinishing Technology or an equivalent qualification
n




- Post-trade experience
n
- Experience with paint preparation, colour matching, mixing systems and spray-booth operations
n
- Strong knowledge of safe working practices within the painting and refinishing industry
n
- The ability to diagnose paint issues and determine practical repair methods
n
- Experience working with heavy machinery, construction equipment, trucks or industrial vehicles will be highly regarded
n
