ME Medical Recruitment is seeking an experienced Paediatrician to lead paediatric services at Mount Isa Hospital as Director of Paediatrics . This is a unique opportunity to influence the development and expansion of paediatric care in a diverse and remote region.

About the Role n
n

As Director of Paediatrics, you will:

n

n
- Provide clinical leadership and strategic direction for paediatric services.

n
- Manage inpatient and outpatient care, child development programs, outreach services, and emergency retrieval coordination.

n
- Lead a multidisciplinary team including Staff Specialists, registrars, and interns.

n
- Foster teaching, training, and research opportunities in collaboration with James Cook University.

n
- Drive quality improvement and patient safety initiatives.

n





About You n
n

n
- FRACP in Paediatrics or equivalent, with current AHPRA specialist registration or eligibility for full, unrestricted specialist registration.

n
- Demonstrated experience in paediatric medicine across a broad range of conditions.

n
- Proven leadership skills, preferably with Head of Department experience .

n
- Commitment to culturally protected care for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities.

n
- Ability to work in a regional and remote setting.

n
