Job Description
Build the talent pipeline behind Lantrak's next phase of growth.
n
For over 65 years, Lantrak has been a trusted industry leader in materials management, material supply and disposal, truck hire and plant hire solutions.
n
Operating across Victoria, Queensland, and New South Wales, we partner with leading contractors and developers to deliver practical, commercially focused solutions across civil construction, commercial developments and major infrastructure projects.
n
As our business continues to grow, so does our need to find great people.
n
The Role
n
Working as part of our People, Culture & Communications function, you'll take ownership of HR & recruitment across multiple business units and states.
n
Your responsibilities will include:
n
n
- Managing recruitment end-to-end, from briefing through to offer
n
- Proactively sourcing and headhunting candidates rather than relying solely on job advertisements
n
- Building and maintaining talent pools for recurring and hard-to-fill roles
n
- Recruiting across operational, technical, professional and leadership positions
n
- Running targeted recruitment campaigns through SEEK, LinkedIn and other relevant channels
n
- Screening, interviewing and coordinating reference checks
n
- Developing robust relationships with candidates and maintaining contact with high-quality people in the market
n
- Partnering with managers to understand upcoming workforce requirements
n
- Improving the consistency and quality of recruitment processes across the business
n
- Working alongside our marketing function to strengthen Lantrak's employer brand and recruitment campaigns
n
- Building a strong understanding of the construction, transport, quarrying and infrastructure talent markets
n
n
What We're Looking For
n
We're looking for someone who is naturally proactive,
confident and commercially minded.
n
You may currently be working within an agency environment and looking to move in-house, or already working in internal talent acquisition and wanting greater ownership.
n
Ideally, you'll bring:
n
n
- Previous recruitment or talent acquisition experience
n
- Robust direct sourcing and headhunting capability
n
- Confidence approaching passive candidates
n
- Experience recruiting across a range of roles and seniority levels
n
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills
n
- The ability to understand a hiring manager's requirements and challenge the brief where appropriate
n
- A practical, organised approach to managing multiple vacancies
n
- Experience within construction, infrastructure, transport, logistics, quarrying, engineering or similar industries would be highly regarded
n
n
Most importantly, we want someone who genuinely enjoys finding good people.
n
Someone who will know who is in the market, who might be open to a conversation, and who we should be talking to before we even have a vacancy advertised.
n
Why Lantrak?
n
This isn't a role where you'll inherit a rigid recruitment function.
n
You'll have the opportunity to help shape how Lantrak approaches talent acquisition as the business continues to expand.
n
You'll work directly with managers across the business, recruit across a diverse range of roles and projects, and have the freedom to build networks and talent pipelines that support Lantrak's longer‐term growth.
n
For the right recruiter, it's an opportunity to move beyond filling jobs and build an internal recruitment capability that has a genuine impact on the business.
n
If you're a recruiter who loves the search, enjoys headhunting and gets satisfaction from finding the person everyone else struggled to find, we'd like to hear from you.
