Ardea Investment Management is seeking a Software Engineer to join our team, supporting the design, development and maintenance of software applications and internal systems that underpin our investment and trading operations.
Key responsibilities
Design, develop, test and document software applications and internal systems used to support investment and trading operations, in accordance with business requirements and technical specifications
Analyse user and business requirements to design and implement full‑stack software solutions using React (front‑end) and Django (back‑end), ensuring applications meet functional and technical specifications
Write, test, debug and maintain program code to identify and correct system errors and performance issues, ensuring applications operate reliably and to specification
Modify and enhance existing software tools to improve performance, functionality and reliability, including portfolio optimisation and investment workflow applications
Design and implement system integrations between internal applications,
SimCorp APIs and SQL Server databases to support data flow across investment platforms
Install, implement and support internal software applications used by portfolio managers and middle office teams, including troubleshooting and resolving technical issues
Consult and collaborate with research, trading and operations teams to evaluate system requirements and translate business needs into technical software solutions
Document system functionality, technical specifications and processes to support ongoing maintenance and knowledge transfer
About you
Demonstrated experience in full‑stack software development, ideally using React and Django
Experience working with SQL Server databases and system integrations
Solid problem‑solving skills and the ability to work across technical and business stakeholders
Experience in financial services or investment management highly regarded but not essential
