At Munro Footwear Group (MFG), we're looking for a

Test Engineer

to join our team-oriented Technology team and support the delivery of technology solutions across our large, multi-brand retail business.

Working within our Enterprise and Retail Delivery team, you'll get exposure to a broad range of systems and integrations while working across a variety of projects. You'll be involved throughout the testing lifecycle, from understanding requirements and developing test cases through to executing manual and automated testing, managing defects and communicating results.

This is a hands‑on role where you'll have the opportunity to build your automation testing capability, partner with teams across Technology and the broader business, and continue developing your experience across both manual and automated testing.

The role

Execute test scripts and accurately capture test results and supporting evidence

Work with Business Process Owners to understand requirements, clarify acceptance criteria and agree on testing scope

Design test cases and test data that reflect real-world business scenarios

Execute manual testing and accurately capture test results and supporting evidence

Maintain and contribute to the automated regression test suite.

Perform front-end UI and API testing where required.

Record, track and manage defects through JIRA or equivalent test management tools.





Partner with DevOps to support the integration of automated test scripts into development pipelines.

Communicate testing progress, defects, risks and results clearly to project and business stakeholders.

About you

2+ years' software testing experience

Experience building and executing both manual and automated tests

Experience using JIRA or equivalent test management tools.

Strong understanding of test planning, test execution and defect management

Strong attention to detail with the ability to accurately document test results and evidence

Confidence working with both technical and non-technical stakeholders

A collaborative approach and willingness to learn, challenge existing processes and continuously improve

Previous exposure to retail, supply chain or finance systems
