The opportunity is within a high-growth, PE-backed Australian business entering its next phase of expansion, with a focus on strengthening financial governance, improving systems and building scalable processes. Reporting to the CFO, the role leads a lean finance team (x4 DR's) and requires a hands on Financial Controller comfortable operating across reporting, audit, compliance, financial operations and process improvement. Lead the month end and year end close processes Produce accurate and timely financial statements and management reporting Maintain strong financial controls, reconciliations and supporting documentation Manage the annual external audit and act as the key contact for external auditors Ensure statutory, tax and regulatory obligations are met Maintain compliance with accounting standards and internal policies Oversee accounts receivable, accounts payable, payroll,



cash management and bank reconciliations Lead, develop and coach a finance team of approximately six Establish efficient, scalable and well-documented finance processes Improve month-end timelines and minimise audit adjustments Enhance automation and reduce reliance on manual processes Improve finance systems, controls and data quality Identify and resolve operational bottlenecks across the finance function Support general ledger, reporting system and broader technology upgrades Partner closely with the CFO, CEO and senior leadership team Support outsourced and offshore finance arrangements where appropriate Contribute to broader business improvement initiatives Build the financial infrastructure required to support continued growth period of transformation and increased workload To be considered for this role you will need:

Experience managing an audit end to end in a sub $100m t/o company Have confidence improving and streamlining process Be hands on in your approach
