Gilders is expanding in Perth and we’re looking for an experienced and driven Operations Manager to join us at an exciting stage of growth.

Based at our new Perth facility, this is an opportunity to play a key role in establishing and growing our transport and warehousing operations in Western Australia. Reporting directly to the National Operations Manager, you’ll take ownership of day-to-day operations, lead and support the local team, drive compliance and operational excellence while ensuring we continue to deliver the high level of service to our customers.

About the Role:

- Lead daily transport operations, managing staff and overseeing pickups and deliveries to meet customer delivery requirements while maximising efficiency

- Facilitate the movement of local and interstate freight, both inbound and outbound.

- Monitor daily freight volumes and collaborate with interstate depots to ensure adequate vehicle capacity and on time deliveries.

- Manage load compliance, including weight and load restraints

- Establish and maintain strong relationships with drivers, customers, and subcontractors, ensuring customer expectations are consistently met.





- Deliver productive customer service by promptly resolving disputes and inquiries

- Ensure customer compliance requirements, including food safety and ISO quality standards are met.

- Provide regular performance updates to the National Operations Manager, highlighting any operational issues.

- Supervise employees, including drivers and warehouse staff. Provide guidance and ensure the team operates efficiently.

- Monitor driver adherence to systems, processes, documentation, fatigue management, safety protocols and compliance with NHVR regulations.

- Assist with employee training, inductions, performance evaluations and safety toolbox meetings.

Skills and Experience:

- Proven track record in transport operations.

- Excellent communication and conflict resolution skills.

- Strong attention to detail with a focus on compliance and customer service.

- Strong leadership and team management abilities

- Knowledge of transport and logistics regulations (NHVR, safety, ISO)

- Previous experience in transport, logistics, or supply chain management
