About the opportunity

Based within Altrad’s operations in Launceston, this role is responsible for coordinating and monitoring yard and branch operations while establishing, developing and maintaining positive relationships with customers, suppliers, subcontractors and internal stakeholders.

Working closely with the Branch Manager, Sales Representatives and Operations teams, you will play a key role in ensuring the efficient movement, availability and control of Hire & Sales fleet, stock and equipment. You will also support branch administration, transport coordination, customer service and Health & Safety requirements.

This is a hands-on role suited to an experienced operations or yard professional who is organised, commercially aware and confident working across multiple priorities. You will be expected to lead by example, maintain strong operational controls and ensure processes are followed while delivering a positive experience for customers and colleagues.

In this role you will:

- Coordinate and monitor day-to-day yard operations, ensuring established processes and procedures are followed.
- Liaise with Sales Representatives regarding customer requirements, stock availability and stock movements.
- Coordinate intrastate and interstate transport, including stock and fleet movements.
- Manage R4Ps, consumable sales stock and branch stationery requirements, maintaining appropriate inventory levels within budget.
- Oversee stock and purchasing administration within Axapta, including transfers, purchase orders, GRNs and stock adjustments.




- Promote secure work practices and ensure branch activities operate in accordance with the Safety Management System (SMS)

About you You will be an experienced operations, yard or branch professional with a strong background in the construction industry, ideally within the formwork or falsework sector.

You will be a self-reliant and hands-on professional who can quickly establish credibility and become effective within a busy operational environment. You will be comfortable managing competing priorities, making sound decisions and working collaboratively with people at all levels of the business.

To be successful, you will have:

- Proven experience working within the formwork, falsework or broader construction industry.
- Demonstrated prior management, supervisory or leadership experience.
- Strong experience in yard, fleet, stock or transport coordination.
- Excellent organisational skills and a high level of attention to detail.
- Strong customer service and relationship-management skills.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with employees at all levels, customers, suppliers and subcontractors.
- Fluent Microsoft Office skills, particularly Microsoft Word and Excel.
- Certificate III or IV in Workplace Health & Safety is desirable.
- Certificate III or IV in Front Line Management or Transport & Logistics is desirable
