About the roleThe Operations Supervisor leads the day-to-day delivery of height safety and roof access projects across commercial, industrial, and residential sites in the Sydney metro area and regional NSW. Operating between the client, internal teams, and field technicians, the role oversees installations, inspections, maintenance, and compliance certifications to ensure projects meet safety standards, timelines, and quality expectations.

Supervise Team of 6 and reports to NSW Business Manager.

Reports to Office Site Location in Penrith

Key responsibilities

- Act as the primary point of contact for clients during active projects, providing proactive updates on timelines, access constraints, and scope issues
- Translate commercial and program goals into realistic daily and weekly work plans for the field team
- Enforce safe work practices and prevent unsafe shortcuts under client or schedule pressure
- Identify scope variations and site condition changes early and escalate them to management
- Provide explicit direction to technicians and leading hands while keeping management informed of progress
- Coordinate with subcontractors, building managers, and site supervisors regarding access, permits, and inductions

What you'll need

- Minimum 3 to 5 years of supervisory experience in height safety, roof access, facade access,



or a closely related trade
- Demonstrated experience managing field teams across safety, quality, and commercial outcomes
- Strong verbal and written communication skills to build rapport with clients and stakeholders
- Track record of identifying and resolving non-conformances before incidents or complaints occur
- Valid driver licence and willingness to travel across Sydney metro and occasionally regional NSW
- Required certifications: Working at Heights Certificate and White Card
- Ability to read and interpret height safety design drawings, specifications, and Safe Work Method Statements (SWMS)
- Desirable: Working knowledge of AS 1657 and current NSW height safety Code of Practice
- Desirable: Experience supervising installation of fixed ladders, walkways, guardrails, anchor points, and fall arrest systems
- Desirable licenses: EWP Licence, Dogging and Rigging, Scaffold, or a relevant trade background
