The Chance The Transport Supervisor is an important role within our Distribution Centre (DC), supervising all areas of the transport operations to ensure effective and productive distribution to our customer restaurants. In this role you will be a people leader with the ability to develop and motivate our transport team and continue to drive our People First culture.

You will ensure staffing levels are appropriate to the delivery routes scheduled, that the transport team upholds high levels of customer service, our drivers are trained and informed, deliveries are made on time, and operations are always conducted with safety as a priority.

Day To Day You Will

- Be responsible for providing a safe working environment free of hazards by completing daily site/department inspections and implementing preventative and corrective actions and promoting a positive culture towards safety and wellness

- Support operations to ensure on time delivery and other service KPIs are achieved with regular reporting to identify issues, gaps or any shortfalls and explore cost effective internal opportunities

- Coach and mentor the transport operations teams to develop and maintain an engaged workforce through promoting our CARES values within daily operations

- Manage daily labour hours in conjunction with scheduled routes, budgets and volume forecasts.

- Maintain fleet in compliance with legislative and customer driven requirements

- Monitor and review master route schedules for potential efficiencies and encourage a culture of continuous improvement within the department

- Assist in the preparation monthly financial reports and monitor the performance against budgets and forecasts





- Implement employee training and development initiatives and ensure performance concerns are addressed

- Encourage and drive a culture of engagement and continuous improvement within the workplace

About You

- Demonstrated supervisory experience in a similar role ideally in Supply Chain, Logistics Management or Transport Management industries

- Experience within multiple temperature zones within a Fast-Moving Consumer Goods (FMCG) operational environment would be added advantage

- Ability to connect and motivate a diverse team through inclusive people management principles

- Willingness to take initiative and drive results to ensure business KPIs are met and exceeded whilst upholding the highest levels of safety and customer service

- Ability to think critically in complex situations, deal with ambiguity and think laterally to problem solve in a dynamic environment

- Knowledge and experience of Basic Fatigue Management (BFM) requirements

- Intermediate to advanced IT skills and proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
