Are you a friendly, detail-oriented professional passionate about patient care? Eyecare Concepts | The Myopia Clinic Melbourne is seeking a proactive Optical Assistant / Medical Receptionist to join our specialist team starting November/December 2026.

This is a unique opportunity to work alongside industry leaders in a specialised, high-tech optometry practice focused on preventative eye care and advanced contact lens therapies. You will play a pivotal role in delivering an exceptional patient experience and supporting our optometrists.

Key Responsibilities

- Warmly greet patients, manage appointments, and handle general medical reception duties.
- Assist optometrists with pre-testing, diagnostic imaging, and specialty contact lens handling.




- Provide clear, helpful advice regarding preventative eye treatments and lens wear.
- Maintain high standards of clinic organisation, patient records, and communication.

What We Are Looking For

- English Proficiency: Excellent verbal and written English communication skills with a warm, patient-centred demeanour.
- Language Skills: Fluency in Mandarin Chinese is an advantage to support our diverse patient base.
- Attention to Detail: Strong organisational habits and accuracy in a clinical environment.
- Industry Experience: Prior experience in medical reception or eye care is highly desirable.
- Personal Experience: Personal experience wearing contact lenses or Ortho-K lenses is a distinct advantage.
