About Prometheus Group

Prometheus Group is a global leader in asset-intensive software solutions for maintenance, operations, and digital transformation across heavy industries (chemicals, energy, utilities, mining, manufacturing) and major ERP ecosystems (SAP, Oracle, IBM Maximo). Our products enable unified enterprise asset optimisation through an integrated approach to planning, scheduling, work management, and business analytics across routine and preventive maintenance, shutdowns/turnarounds, and production scheduling.

Our mission is to transform how the world’s leading companies manage and maintain their operations, enabling higher throughput, lower cost, and greater reliability. Our drive and dedication to creating great products for our global customers are at the heart of all we do! In joining Prometheus, you will become a part of the largest global provider of comprehensive enterprise asset management (EAM) software solutions that support the management life cycle for equipment maintenance and operations.

Founded in 1998 and based in Raleigh, NC, Prometheus has over 900 employees across 13 global offices. The company has completed a number of strategic acquisitions since 2019 to expand its offerings in the industrial maintenance software space.

Position Overview

Prometheus Group is seeking a hands-on, customer-facing PACE Consultant to serve as our onsite, dedicated resource for a single customer. Rather than supporting a customer remotely, you’ll spend most working days onsite at the customer’s facility, embedded directly in their maintenance, reliability, and shutdown operations. You’ll act as the customer’s dedicated Prometheus Group point of contact, building the kind of deep working relationship that only comes from being onsite day in and day out,

while pulling on the full resources and support of Prometheus Group behind you.

This position is primarily based at the assigned customer site.

A core part of the role is configuring and fine-tuning Prometheus Group’s AI tools in real time, based on how the customer actually works. You’ll see firsthand where our AI gets it right and where it needs adjustment, and you’ll feed that back to our product and engineering teams to make the tools sharper for every customer. This is a current and growing role at Prometheus Group, built on the forward-deployed engineer model now used across the AI industry, and we’re expanding the program aggressively across APAC.

As with our Functional Consulting team, the best PACE Consultants build their own path with the customer. What starts as day-to-day configuration and support can grow into a broader advisory role, and your onsite perspective puts you in a strong position to spot additional training, consulting, or licensing opportunities as they come up.

Key Responsibilities

- Travel to and work onsite at the customer’s facility for most of the working week as their dedicated Prometheus Group resource
- Build a deep, hands-on understanding of the customer’s maintenance, reliability, and shutdown/turnaround workflows
- Configure, tune, and troubleshoot Prometheus Group’s AI tools in real time based on how the customer actually operates

- Translate what you see and hear onsite back to Prometheus Group’s product and engineering teams to improve our AI
- Coordinate with Project Managers, Functional Consultants, and Professional Services to keep the customer’s goals on track
- Troubleshoot, analyse, and document customer issues, and communicate progress and next steps to the customer directly
- Identify additional training, consulting, or licensing opportunities with the customer
- Act as the trusted face of Prometheus Group day to day, looping in internal specialists and resources as needed

Qualifications

- 3+ years of hands-on experience in maintenance, reliability, and/or shutdown/turnaround work in an industrial or plant environment
- Basic knowledge of programming concepts, such as variables, functions and arguments, and scope
- Comfortable working hands-on with software tools and AI-assisted systems
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Exceptional communication and customer service skills

Preferred Experience

- Experience with CMMS or EAM systems (Prometheus Group experience a plus)
- Experience with work ticketing systems such as TeamSupport, ServiceNow, JIRA, Salesforce
- Exposure to AI/ML tools or a strong interest in applying AI to real maintenance workflows
- SQL or other relational databases
- API platforms (Postman, Insomnia)
- HTML/CSS/XML
- Experience in large mining, oil & gas, or heavy industrial environments
- Familiarity with agile development practices
