About the Role

Oz Victoria Painting and Decorating Services Pty Ltd is seeking a skilled and experienced Painter & Decorator to join our growing team on a full-time basis.

The successful applicant will take pride in producing high-quality workmanship and have strong knowledge of professional painting, decorating and surface preparation techniques.

You will be responsible for preparing, painting and finishing a variety of interior and exterior surfaces across residential and commercial projects throughout Melbourne, while maintaining consistently high standards of workmanship.

Key Responsibilities

- Strong cutting and rolling skills.
- Interior and exterior painting experience.
- Experience with spray painting, including roof spraying.
- Experience applying epoxy flooring.
- Completing basic plaster repairs, patching and preparation work.
- Painting feature walls and decorative finishes.
- Painting doors, frames, skirting boards and architraves.
- Proper surface preparation, including sanding, filling and caulking.
- Applying undercoats, primers and various paint finishes.
- Using brushes, rollers and spray equipment safely and effectively.
- Working independently and maintaining a consistently high-quality finish.
- Maintaining excellent attention to detail and meeting project deadlines.
- Following workplace health and safety procedures.

About You The successful candidate will ideally have:

- Relevant qualifications in Painting and Decorating or equivalent trade experience and a recognised certificate in painting and construction.
- A minimum of 3 years' relevant painting and decorating experience,



particularly in high-end residential and/or commercial projects.
- Strong knowledge of surface preparation and professional painting techniques.
- Experience applying a range of paints, coatings and decorative finishes.
- Confidence using brushes, rollers and spray equipment.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to high-quality finishes.
- Ability to interpret job specifications and select appropriate materials and preparation methods.
- Good time management and organisational skills.
- A strong understanding of workplace health and safety requirements.
- A reliable, skilled and positive approach to work.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
