We are looking for a kind, strong and reliable part time Disability Support Worker to join our small team supporting Suzie, a 21-year-old young woman with very severe cerebral palsy.

About the role

You will work alongside another carer at all times to help Suzie with daily living activities. This includes personal care and other supports that require manual handling. You will also be expected to take initiative and assist with household chores while the other carer is working directly with Suzie.

Full on-the-job training will be provided in how to care for Suzie. You must be willing and able to follow clear instructions from Suzie’s parents and work as part of a consistent, reliable team that helps make our mission a daily reality.

Key requirements

- Kind, patient and genuinely caring nature
- Physically strong and capable of manual handling (current manual handling training required)

- Reliable and punctual




- Able to take initiative and complete household tasks independently when needed
- Willing to learn and be trained on the job in Suzie’s specific care needs
- Own reliable car and current driver’s licence (travel to Burra, NSW required)
- Comfortable working as part of a two-person support team at all times

Pay and hours Pay is at the current NDIS rates for the relevant support (standard weekday daytime rate is currently $73.58 per hour under the NDIS Pricing Schedule 2026-27; higher rates apply for evenings, weekends and public holidays).

Hours are part-time, with the possibility of additional hours for the right person.
