Senior Project Engineer - Mining and Mineral Processing Equipment.

Consep Engineering is a global leader in specialised mineral processing technologies, delivering innovative solutions to mining operations worldwide.

Right now we are looking to appoint a Senior Project Engineer to it's Sydney projects team.

n

Reporting to the Head of Projects, the Senior Project Engineer plays a critical role in the delivery of complex factory based equipment builds which can be both of a standard design and bespoke in nature. The role also plays a crucial role in supporting junior project engineers with project planning, reporting and milestone achievement.

Consep design and build out of our own facilities in Wetherill Park. Manufacturing occurs across major production areas such as steel fabrication, lining, assembly and machining.

Project Planning

n

Collaborating with design and engineering on detailed designs and supporting operations to ensure builds meet specific requirements.

n

Coordinating with procurement to ensure externally sources items are ordered to meet project milestones.

n

Supporting junior engineers with planning and project execution.

n

Principal Accountabilities

n

Successfully manage complex projects to successful factory acceptance including delivering on schedule, cost and budget.

n





Communicate with clients on project milestones as required.

n

Support commissioning teams as required.

n

Engage with all internal stakeholders and maintain Consep's project documentation.

n

Support the introduction of new technologies to assist in improving project management such as AI tools.

n

The ideal candidate will have significant experience with the fabrication of production machinery or large scale modular items built in a factory environment. Preference will be given to those with experience with large/complex capital items.

n

Critical to the success of this role will be your ability to communicate clearly and effectively from the C Suite to the factory floor and the ability to mentor junior staff and collaborate across departments. Trade and/or tertiary qualifications in engineering would be highly regarded but those with significant industry experience should also apply.

The ability to innovate, adopt recent technologies, processes and procedures and contribute to the ongoing development of our project management systems would be highly regarded.
