About the role:

n

The Auto-Electrician will report to the Workshop Foreman and be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining electrical systems in a variety of vehicles/machinery. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in automotive electrical systems, with experience in both installation and repair. You should be able to work independently and be able to troubleshoot problems quickly and effectively.

Key operational accountabilities include:

- Diagnosing electrical problems in vehicles and determining the best course of action for repair.
n




- Installing new electrical components and systems in vehicles/machinery.
n
- Repairing and maintaining existing electrical systems in vehicles/machinery.
n
- Performing routine maintenance on electrical systems, such as checking and replacing batteries and alternators.
n
- Keeping up to date with new electrical technologies and industry trends.
n

To be successful in the role you will possess the following:

n

n
- Excellent time management, work scheduling and planning skills.
n
- Minimum 2 years of experience as an Auto-electrician and relevant qualifications.
n
- Have air-conditioning for vehicles and heavy vehicle experience.
n
- Proven experience maintaining and repairing farm machinery.
n
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
n
- Knowledge of maintenance software and programs.
n
- Ability to work as part of a team in a dynamic quick paced business.
n
- Flexibility in hours worked to achieve operational targets.
n
- A sense of urgency and a can-do attitude
n
- Sound working knowledge of WH&S; requirements.
n
- Knowledge of automotive electrical systems, including wiring, batteries, and alternators.
n
- Ability to read electrical schematics and diagnose problems.
n
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
