About the Role: Experience is preferred but not essential - for the right candidate, we offer a fast-tracked pathway from casual to permanent part-time employment. Brighter Access is currently looking for enthusiastic and compassionate Support Workers to join our team in the Charlestown, Newcastle areas. In this role, you will provide high-quality care to participants with a range of support needs.

Your responsibilities will include personal care, domestic assistance, and behaviour support, all while helping to create a positive, safe, and empowering environment.

Key Responsibilities:

- Assist with personal care tasks, including showering, hoisting, toileting, and continence aids.
n
- Provide behaviour support in alignment with participant needs and individual plans.
n
- Help with meal planning and preparation to ensure dietary requirements are met.
n
- Assist with domestic duties and ensure a clean, secure environment.
n




- Support the participant in achieving their goals, promoting independence where possible.
n

Skills and Experience:

n

n
- Previous experience in personal care and domestic assistance is essential.
n
- Experience in behaviour support is preferred.
n
- A passion for helping others and making a positive difference in the lives of people with disabilities.
n
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
n
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
n
- Prior experience with medication administration and hoisting is highly regarded.
n

What You Will Need

- NDIS worker screening clearance (or willing to apply)
n
- Working with Children Clearance (or willing to apply)
n
- Current First Aid
n
- Drivers Licence and reliable Insured & registered vehicle
n
- Targeted training and professional development
n
