About the Role
n
An exciting prospect exists for an experienced Administration Officer - Patient Accounts & Prosthetics to join our team on a part-time basis.
n
Reporting directly to the Administration Services Manager, this role is responsible for patient accounts, billing administration, debtor management and prosthetic reconciliation activities. You will play a key role in supporting financial operations while providing exceptional service to patients, visitors, clinicians and external stakeholders.
n
Key Responsibilities
n
Manage patient accounts, billing and related administrative duties.
n
Achieve daily debtor management targets and key performance indicators (KPIs).
n
Provide professional and courteous customer service to patients, visitors and healthcare providers.
n
Process, reconcile and maintain accurate prosthetic records and documentation.
n
Assist with the procurement, purchasing and inventory management of prosthetic products.
n
Ensure accurate stock control and timely ordering of prosthetic items.
n
Liaise effectively with theatre teams, Cath Lab staff, suppliers and hospital departments to ensure clinical requirements are met.
n
Support compliance with hospital purchasing agreements, supplier contracts and organisational policies.
n
Assist with banking, EFTPOS processing and account reconciliations as required.

About You
n
To be successful in this role, you will demonstrate strong attention to detail, excellent organisational skills and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced healthcare environment. Experience in private hospital patient billing, health fund claiming and/or prosthetics management will be highly regarded.
n
Exceptional numeracy and data accuracy skills.
n
High level proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel, Word and Outlook.
n
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
n
Strong interpersonal and customer service skills.
n
Proven organisational and time-management abilities with a proactive approach to problem‐solving.
n
Ability to prioritise competing tasks and work independently.
n
Experience managing purchasing and inventory processes.
n
Commitment to maintaining confidentiality and handling sensitive information appropriately.
n
Evidence of immunisation status and required serology documentation.
n
Previous experience in private hospital patient billing, health fund claiming and/or prosthetics management (highly desirable).
n
Knowledge of medical terminology.
n
Experience with health fund billing, health fund contracts and patient billing processes.
n
Experience in prosthetic procurement, inventory control and reconciliation.
n
WebPAS Patient Management System experience (or the ability to quickly learn new systems).
n
Eclipse billing experience.
n
Experience with banking procedures, EFTPOS and account reconciliation.
n
Experience in debtor management and collections.
n
Understanding of private healthcare funding models and hospital administrative processes.
