Pacific View Resort is seeking a reliable and hands-on Maintenance & Operations Officer to join our small team in Kings Beach.

This is a varied role suited to someone who takes pride in their work, has a practical approach to maintenance and enjoys keeping a property well maintained, safe and presented to a high standard.

The position will initially be offered on a casual basis, working approximately

22–30 hours per week across 3–4 days , including

Saturday from 7:30am–1:00pm , with the opportunity to progress to permanent part-time for the right candidate.

About the role Working across the resort, you will be responsible for a broad range of day-to-day maintenance and operational duties. Once trained, you will need to be comfortable managing your workload independently, identifying jobs that require attention and taking initiative to keep the property operating and presenting at its best.

Key responsibilities include:

General repairs and maintenance throughout resort units, common areas and facilities

Preventative and scheduled maintenance

Identifying and addressing maintenance issues

Minor repairs and general property upkeep

Assisting with unit improvements and refurbishment works

Maintaining resort grounds and outdoor areas

Daily pool and spa testing, cleaning and chemical treatment

Property, equipment and safety inspections

Supporting and maintaining WHS requirements

Liaising with external trades and contractors

Supporting housekeeping and broader resort operations when required

Maintaining records and communicating completed and outstanding works to management





About you We are looking for someone who is dependable, self-directed and takes genuine pride in the quality of their work.

Ideally, you will have:

Previous maintenance, facilities, property maintenance or similar hands‑on experience

Strong practical skills and confidence with general maintenance and minor repairs

A good eye for detail and high standard of workmanship

The ability to work independently and manage your workload once trained

A proactive, practical approach to problem solving

Positive communication skills and the ability to work as part of a small team

A current driver's license

A trade or trade‑related background is

highly regarded but not essential . We are also happy to consider someone who is practical, handy, willing to learn and has the right attitude.

As part of the recruitment process, shortlisted applicants will be asked to provide two professional references, and the successful applicant will be required to complete a police check.

You’ll be joining a small, supportive team in a well‑established resort environment. The position offers stable and consistent hours, varied hands‑on work and the opportunity to take ownership of the maintenance and presentation of the property.
