Recruitment Consultant | Lead our Perm GP Division

Edwards and Co is looking for an experienced permanent recruitment consultant to take the reins of our Permanent General Practice division covering domestic and international opportunities.

Why this role exists

General Practice is where we started. It's personal to us, and it's the part of the business we protect most carefully. We're not handing it to someone looking for a 12-month stopover, we want the person who sees a business with genuine runway and wants to own it for the long haul.

You'll work alongside our well-established and highly regarded Locum GP recruiter, with a warm client base and a brand that opens doors.

Who we are

We mobilised rapid when it counted. During COVID-19, Edwards and Co was on the front line supporting the Urgent Care Centre rollout and partnering with some of Australia's largest telehealth providers.

What you'll be doing

- Leading and growing our permanent GP division across Australia
- Managing domestic and international GP relationships end to end
- Designing creative,



out-of-the-box attraction strategies to reach GP candidates in a competitive market
- Placing across the full spectrum: rural and remote, metro, hospitals, medical centres, telehealth, and Indigenous health services
- Managing international doctor recruitment pathways into Australia
- Balancing quick wins with the long-term investment plays that build a genuine desk

What you'll bring

- Proven experience in permanent recruitment, you know the full 360 process inside out
- Healthcare recruitment experience is ideal, but we'll back the right commercial operator
- Exceptional communication skills. Leaning into the varied needs, wants and personalities of general practitioners and their industry decision makers.
- Commercial nous and strategic thinking, you understand what makes a desk profitable, not just busy
- The ability to work autonomously and think on your feet
- Genuine self-motivation. We'll give you autonomy, you need to know what to do with it.
