Pharmacy Technician - Casual

Remuneration $41.14 - $43.25 per hour

Join our Pharmacy Team The Pharmacy Department at Mildura Base Public Hospital is a growing team of pharmacists, pharmacy technicians, and a pharmacy intern dedicated to delivering safe, high-quality medication management and patient care. Working collaboratively within a multidisciplinary healthcare environment, we focus on promoting medication safety, improving patient outcomes, and supporting the best possible care experience for our community.

About The Role

As a Pharmacy Technician, you will support the management, distribution, and supply of medications across MBPH. Working alongside pharmacists and other healthcare professionals, you will assist with dispensing medications and ensuring wards receive timely pharmaceutical support. Successful candidates will be expected to work within the Pharmacy hours (Monday to Friday 8.30-5pm, Saturday 9-1pm. Sunday 9-12pm)

About you To be successful in this role, you will have

- Certificate III as Dispensary Technician, or

- Certificate III Health Services Assistant

- Strong communication skills and proven ability to work effectively within a team environment and independently as required

Desirable
- Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word and Outlook

- Experience with Merlin Dispensing System

- Knowledge of the Pharmaceutical Benefits Scheme (PBS)
