We’re a local, family owned and run, general equipment, vehicle and trailer hire company, looking for a skilled mechanic to join our team. This role could be tailored around either a full-time, part time or casual employment basis depending on the applicant’s requirements or skill set.

The Role

As a General Mechanic, you’ll be responsible for servicing, maintaining, and repairing a wide range of company equipment, including:

- Trailers bearings
- Construction and plant machinery under 3T (e.g., excavators, bobcats, mini dumpers etc.)
- Landscaping equipment such as stump grinders, petrol aerators and rotary hoes
- Small engines and power tools

Key Responsibilities

- Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic faults
- Conduct regular servicing and preventative maintenance
- Maintain accurate service and inspection records
- Work independently and as part of a team
- Assist with breakdowns and field repairs when required
- Maintaining a clean, organised and well-stocked workshop

Requirements

- Proven experience as a mechanic (heavy vehicle, plant, or general)
- Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work safely and efficiently
- Current driver’s licence
